ParaNatus – immersive childbirth experience for paramedics

A virtual reality experience – led by paramedics.

ParaNatusΒ is an immersive virtual reality experience, built to reflect clinical best practice. It exposes paramedic students to pre-hospital emergency childbirth scenarios, that they might not otherwise encounter in their education.

Students are using the interactive solution today to learn how to make important decisions, and how to engage with women facing childbirth emergencies at home.

Orion Health – the Care and Health Information Exchange in care homes

Orion Health is one of England’s leading providers of shared care records. This video explains how its technology is being deployed to care homes across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, to save time for staff, improve care for residents, and provide reassurance for families. The video has been used in Orion Health marketing and by CHIE to encourage more homes to sign-up.

Fujitsu – providing better data for better health

Fujitsu is co-creating with hospitals and other providers in the healthcare community to enable clinical collaboration based on a single patient record and vendor neutral archiving – a scalable, fit-for-the-future platform to transform pathways and service delivery, that will enable patients to take more control over their own care, reduce demand and deliver out of hospital care.

Transforming diagnostics in Greater Manchester

A consortium of NHS trusts in Greater Manchester has been working with its medical imaging partner Sectra to transform diagnostic services across the region. Highland Marketing helped to capture the story of this major programme of work, so it could be shared with delegates at a key industry conference.

Addressing the huge impact on mental health from COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the nation’s mental health, as a result both from the challenges of lockdown and from suffering the virus itself. BBC News has explored how digital mental health therapy can provide strong support for those struggling to cope. Mark, who faced challenges in lockdown, explained how a combination of talking therapies and digital therapy from SilverCloud Health provided a huge boost. Dr Lloyd Humphreys, a clinical psychologist and Head of Europe at our client SilverCloud Health, gave his perspective on the impact of COVID-19 on mental health and also the aim of a digital programme such as SilverCloud and how it works.

Significant reduction in hospital admissions

With NHS waiting lists in headlines, BBC News has reported on a strong example of how digital is helping to address the backlog challenge. Mark Fitton from Stockport Council and Kay Slinger from Appleton Lodge Care Home, explained how a significant reduction in hospital admissions had been achieved in a project working with Mastercall Healthcare and our client Dignio.

The World Health Organisation’s vision is to tackle this, and it is calling on leaders to ensure that everyone has living and working conditions that are conducive to good health. Parsek showcases Vitaly cancer care platform

Parsek’s technology is designed to improve cancer care. Its care management system helps patients access consultations and treatment plans on a phone or tablet; while simplified collaboration between multi-disciplinary oncology teams speeds up diagnostics and decision-making. To highlight the benefits of Parsek’s solutions to prospective NHS customers, Highland Marketing’s video had to be filmed remotely, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Connexica & Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

Connexica has a vision to make access to data easier and quicker for its customers in healthcare, finance and retail. The company worked with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to use its CXAIR data analytics platform and create a bespoke system to help the trust improve its procurement processes. The collaboration has proven to be successful and Leeds Hospitals is looking at how Connexica’s technology can be deployed on a wider scale, across its finance, resource planning, inventory and pharmacy departments.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust & Connexica

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has been working with data management and business insights company Connexica, to create a platform to improve the visibility of its procurement data. As the project has progressed, it has evolved into something more profound: a solution to enable the trust to manage waste, improve processes, deliver better clinical care and reduce costs. The successful collaboration has seen Leeds Hospitals named as a finalist in the Health Care Supply Association Awards 2020.
