What is a local health tech showcase?

Local health tech showcases are a collaborative initiative launched by Highland, Insight UK, and Synergy Digital Health Innovation. We know tech suppliers and innovators can find it hard to get in front of the right people, when they are ready to engage.

Our solution is to engage face to face with NHS trusts to explore their requirements and ambitions. Then we take YOUR services, products and ideas direct to their staff, where they work, and where they can be excited by what you have to offer. All for a fraction of the cost of attending a major health tech show; and backed by Insight’s compliant routes to procurement.

Why Derby?

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton is working with its neighbour, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, on an EPR implementation, for which contracts were signed 18-months ago. Hundreds of people were involved in choosing the trust’s modern, modular EPR.

The roadshow will give them a chance to see what else is out there to transform their working environment and make a material difference to their ability to look after patients.

Who should attend?

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton is also developing a new, five-year digital strategy that will prioritise clinically led, digitally enabled transformation. The trust wants to consolidate fragmented systems, establish a single digital front door, and act as an incubator for NHS England’s Federated Data Platform apps.

From our advance engagement, we also know the trust wants to prioritise: theatre improvement, outpatient transformation, and streamlined discharge. If you have solutions in any of those areas, you need to join us in October.

What can you expect?

The Derby roadshow will be hosted at the trust’s education centre at Royal Derby Hospital. It will include live demos, TEDx-style talks, and interactive feedback zones. So be ready to engage with a lively audience of influencers, budget holders, and users!
