Highland Marketing to support promotion of new show encompassing five different healthcare exhibitions under one roof
GovNet Exhibitions has appointed Highland Marketing as its official partner to manage communications for the newly launched UK Health Show 2016. The show will bring together over 4,000 senior healthcare professionals and decision makers to Olympia London, on the 28th September, to help the NHS and the wider sector promote and improve service delivery for better healthcare outcomes across the UK.
The UK Health Show is a merger of several large events on the healthcare calendar, including the well-established Healthcare Efficiency Through Technology (HETT) event, which has allowed innovative NHS uses of technology to be shared more widely. HETT has been combined with Commissioning in Healthcare, another key event in the sector, along with three entirely new conference streams on procurement, estates and cyber security.
Highland Marketing has been selected to support the promotion of the event and to help attract even more healthcare professionals to attend and share ideas that will make a real difference to the lives of patients and have a positive impact on the future of the NHS.
Alexander Rushton, UK Health Show event director, said: “We decided to partner with Highland Marketing because of its well-established reputation within the healthcare sector. Its knowledge and understanding of the ever changing healthcare environment, makes it the perfect company to help us communicate both the value of exhibiting and attending the UK Health Show 2016.”
A recent survey of more than 400 senior individuals due to attend the event has revealed that 85% said they were either “not very confident” or “not at all confident” that the health service is in a position to deliver the £22bn savings now expected across England by 2020.
Commenting on the survey, Rushton said: “Changes can and must be made to improve care for patients and ensure the NHS remains sustainable. The delegates attending such a major healthcare event will be provided with the opportunity to listen to and engage with the UK’s healthcare leaders, who will be present to share and explain the latest developments in the NHS strategy and policy.”
Mark Venables, CEO of Highland Marketing, added: “The UK Health Show is taking a very innovative approach in bringing together under one roof various healthcare professionals from technology through to commissioning, procurement, estates and cyber security. This comes at a timely moment when the NHS faces growing challenges and this show provides a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals from across the board to tackle issues and share experiences. We appreciate the opportunity of supporting the UK Health Show in enabling greater collaboration within the healthcare industry to work towards a sustainable future.”
Highland Marketing’s responsibilities for the event will include a range of PR and communications activities in the run up to, during, and following the UK Health Show 2016. It will be working with a wide range of healthcare journalists to spread breaking stories from the event while also using various social media channels to extend the reach of the event.
Highland Marketing will be available throughout the event on stand H452 and can be reached in advance by exhibitors for communications assistance. The services that Highland Marketing provide include: stand design, stand management, PR, content generation and social media.
